PCR's Summer Learn to Row Camps are located at Lloyd Hall, #1 Boathouse Row. Student athletes in this program participate in both on and off the water rowing. They learn basic rowing technique, and receive a general introduction to fitness, environmental education, nutrition, and the sport of rowing. This program is free of charge, but enrollment is limited. Participants MUST be rising 7th through 11th graders and enrolled in a public or charter school in Philadelphia. All sessions are two weeks long and run Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to noon.
Proof of swimming ability is required for participation in our summer programs. Students will need to swim two lengths of the pool and tread water for two minute. Swim testing & lessons will be conducted on Saturdays from 2-4PM at the Temple Pool. Swim test and lessons dates are May 18th, June 1st, and June 8th.
Session 1: June 17th to 28th
Session 2: July 8th to 19th
Session 3: July 22nd to August 2nd
Enrollment will open on on April 1st and close on May 10th. Space is limited. Check back in the spring for more details.
