Varsity Women in front of Philly Skyline

More than a rowing team, PCR works to improve our participants' academic and personal outcomes through our highly structured sport-based youth development program. The sport of rowing inherently teaches discipline, perseverance, and teamwork - reinforcing invaluable lessons that extend into all areas of life. Additional program elements that help our student-athletes reach their greatest potential include academic support and tutoring, mentoring, college counseling, nutrition education, and environmental education.

Our rowing activities are normally based on Philadelphia's historic Boathouse Row, and student-athletes row from a boatyard dedicated solely to serving the community!  This program is offered free of charge to any Philadelphia public or charter school student.

Due to river dredging this fall, practice locations have changed. All practices are from 4:00 pm to 6:15 pm. Each team will have one land day per week which will take place at Lloyd Hall (#1 Boathouse Row). All other practice days will be on the water sessions and will take place at PCR temporary home on west side of the river - 1233 MLK Jr Blvd (or put "Dragon Boat Dock" into your phone's GPS). Due to MLK Drive being closed on weekend, Saturday practices are still TBD.
