Philadelphia City Rowing offers a fun and FREE program that introduces students in 7th and 8th grade to the sport of rowing. You will learn about rowing through both on-the-water and land workouts and will receive a general introduction to fitness, nutrition education, and environmental education. Our middle school programs run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 4:15 to 6:15 pm from our boatyard adjacent to Lloyd Hall Recreation Center (#1 Boathouse Row). You must attend a Philadelphia Public or Charter school to participate in the program.

Swim lessons (when pool time is available) will be based on our ability to secure pool time from one of our program partners. Life jackets will be provided for anyone who needs to improve their swimming skills. Further details will be provided once we get closer to that time.
